GPS tracker for motor scooters & mopeds – locate, protect, recover

Why PowUnity

Track · Protect · Recover for your scooter

A scooter is small, light, and quickly lifted by two people. A steering lock prevents it from being ridden away – not from being carried off. The GPS tracker takes away the uncertainty: You know where your moped is parked and are notified immediately if it moves.

📍

Track

The tracker is permanently connected to the vehicle's electrical system and reports its position to the PowUnity app. You can see your moped on the map – at home, outside work, in the underground car park. When it’s moving, you can track its movement live.

🔔

Protect

If you lock your scooter in the app, it is armed. If it is moved, a push notification is sent to your smartphone immediately. With a geofence around your courtyard or parking space, you will be notified as soon as your moped leaves the area.

🛟

Recover

In the app, you report the theft and receive your theft report with profile, time, and last known location. With the police document, our Recovery Team has the legal basis to act and keeps you updated every 24 hours.

🔌

The GPS tracker

Permanent connection with positive and negative to the battery or ignition, concealed installation under the seat or fairing. If the battery is disconnected, the backup battery takes over: up to 21 days standby, up to 14 hours live tracking.

Everyday life with the scooter

Underground parking garage & inner courtyard

Good to know

Compatibility, app and recovery – briefly explained

What matters is not the brand, but your scooter’s onboard voltage. Here you’ll find the most important points to consider before installation.

Will the tracker fit my scooter?

9 to 100 volts
The tracker operates within this voltage range. A 12 V vehicle electrical system from a motor scooter, moped or Vespa (50 and 125 cc) falls right in the middle of it.
Battery or ignition
Connection is made using positive and negative – directly to the battery or alternatively to the ignition. The GPS tracker for motorcycles comes with ring terminals, while with the universal tracker you crimp them on yourself.
6 V or without battery
Cannot be connected directly. An additional power supply is required here – please have it installed by a qualified workshop.
Concealed installation
Under the seat, in the helmet compartment area, or behind the front and leg shield fairing. Do not leave any cables visibly hanging out.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions about the GPS tracker for motor scooters

The most important answers about installation, tracking and theft incidents.

Will the tracker fit my 12 V moped?

Yes. The tracker operates with 9 to 100 volts, so a 12 V vehicle electrical system is safely within the operating range. It is connected using positive and negative terminals – either to the battery or to the ignition. For mopeds, we recommend the GPS tracker for motorcycles variant, which is already supplied with cable lugs.

Can I install it myself?

Usually yes. You need access to the battery or ignition, then you connect the positive and negative terminals. The motorcycle tracker comes with cable lugs included; with the universal tracker, you crimp them on yourself. If you don’t feel confident doing that, any specialist workshop can handle it.

Where is the best place to hide the tracker?

Where it is not visible from the outside: under the seat, in the helmet compartment area, behind the front fairing or leg shield trim, near the battery. Secure it neatly and do not leave any cables visibly protruding.

Does it work if the battery is disconnected?

Yes, for a certain period of time. The additional battery takes over: up to 21 days standby and up to 14 hours live tracking. For continuous operation, a fixed connection to the vehicle electrical system remains the recommended solution.

What happens if my scooter is stolen?

You receive the alert on your phone and can see the location. Keep the scooter locked, report the theft in the app, and file a police report within 24 hours using the theft report. Send us the police document — only then does the Recovery Team have the legal basis to act.

Does tracking work abroad?

Yes. The SIM covers the entire geographical Europe, not just EU member states – including Norway, Sweden, Switzerland and the Balkan states.

What comes after the first year?

The first year of tracking and protection is included in the purchase price. After that, you keep the tracker active with a subscription – with no commitment and cancellable at any time in the app.

Can I manage scooters and e-bikes in one app?

Yes. You manage multiple trackers in one account, with separate alerts and geofences for each vehicle. You can also log in via the web app on your computer.

Act now

Protect your scooter now

A lock makes access more difficult. A GPS tracker gives you the ability to act – because you know where your scooter is as soon as it moves. Not sure whether your moped is compatible? Check compatibility beforehand.
