Overnight, a specialist bicycle shop in St. Johann in Austria was broken into. 56 high-value e-bikes were gone in one go, an insured loss of more than €100,000.
One detail made the difference: every single bike had a PowUnity GPS tracker inside it, hidden away and barely bigger than a lighter.
While the van was already on the motorway, the system reported its location in real time. That allowed the vehicle to be located and stopped around 240 kilometres away. All 56 e-bikes went back to the owner in full — the case was solved within hours.
