How it all began
PowUnity was the first company to develop GPS anti-theft solutions for e-bikes. Together with the PowUnity app, the GPS tracker is the most reliable trace that leads you back to your e-bike in the event of theft.
However, we started in a completely different area: born and raised in the middle of the Alps, the founders Chris, Max and Stefan have been enthusiastic skiers since childhood. It was obvious that the three of them first made a name for themselves in the winter sports sector with the development of anti-theft devices for snowboards and skis as the company PowUnity. They developed the hardware and software of the Bluetooth tracker BikeTrax from scratch in-house.
In response to great demand from their dealer network, a GPS tracker for e-bikes was also soon to modernise theft protection in the bike market. The e-bike boom was unstoppable. And so was PowUnity. Since 2018, we have specialised only in e-bike theft protection solutions and pass on our knowledge from numerous customer and partner discussions in our subject area to you.
